𝗞𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗴𝗶 𝗡𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲:  This elegant oval kintsugi necklace showcases a timeless blue floral motif against a creamy white background. The design features delicately painted roses and tiny blossoms in varying shades of cobalt and sky blue, their intricate details capturing the charm of classic fine china. It was handcrafted from a porcelain plate, intentionally broken and carefully repaired by hand.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗴𝗶?  Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the pieces together and accentuating the seams with gold. Kintsugi came from the Japanese philosophy of embracing imperfection. It treats the breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to be hidden. As a result, something more unique and beautiful is created. 

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀:  Our items are one-of-a-kind and repaired in a manner that accentuates the breaks while also beautifying the mended seams. Some practitioners of kintsugi completely cover the seam with mending material, however, we attempt to preserve the authenticity of each break by allowing it to stay visible after repair. We feel this adds to the beauty and meaning of the finished item.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗴𝗶 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝘀:  At Kintsugi Reborn, we believe that when something treasured has been broken (or a person has experienced hardship) the process of overcoming challenges to heal and be made whole again is a beautiful example of “rising from the ashes”. The phoenix in our logo exemplifies this theme of being reborn both figuratively and literally.
